Male Spanx?

April 9th, 2007 @ 3:07 pm by Mrs. Lemon

Yes, male body shapers do exist. At least, that’s what I found out from a google search after Mr. Lemon raised the question last night. I was talking about the lengths I had gone to hide my pudge for our engagement pictures, and he began wondering if anyone had started to make a male version of SPANX. In theory I figured that there had to be multiple stores here in LA that carried them due to the body-conscious population, but the idea of them existing just never crossed my mind before.

So my search uncovered quite a few sites that sold male body shapers, and in fact it’s the latest rage in Japan right now. Underwear company Triumph International Japan released a “long girdle” and a “hip hugger” girdle to sell on a trial basis last month, and both sold out within weeks.

So this begs the eternal poll question…

Would your man even consider wearing a girdle for your wedding day?

my bf is as skinny as a stick and if anything, he’d probably want something to make him bigger. besides, i already hate the look of skinny jeans…there’s no way i’d let him get away with that kind of look anyway.

I know is hard for a man to wear one of those things but my wife told me that the brand she likes to wear Vedette shapewear she is so obsessed with this brand and she told me that soon they will be releasing a new compression jacket for guys….I dont know I’m actually thinking about it hahaha I do have some extra stuff that i would like to get rid off I’m not fat but guys get annoyed of extra fat specially on the sides and i see how how those shapers worked pretty well on my wife, so why shouldnt i give a chance to it? and now days guys like me care more about their look than ever so I would probably take that risk!
