Wedding Salon

April 11th, 2007 @ 4:46 pm by Sales

Mrs. Bee here.

Admission for The Wedding Salon’s annual bridal show in New York is $125 for 2 people (they sell the tickets in pairs), but we just received a $50 off promotion with code PBNY07P.

This was the best bridal show I attended last year, so I’ll definitely be going again this year - I hope it’s just as great! Last year’s gift bag was valued at $500 and even included an All Clad Frying Pan… I hope they do a gift bag again this year! ;)

I couldn’t get into the city until 7pm, is it still worth it if you can’t get their till later? It is a lot of money if I miss half of it. Also just curious, I’m well into the planning process and wondered what advantage is there to going to this if you have lots of your things taken care of?

Yay!!!!! Thank you for this post. I visited the site and there is a Miami show in November. Perfect place - perfect timing. I’m super excited.

bridal shows are more helpful in the beginning stages of planning. you could still get ideas for decor as there are tabletops set up, and gather information for those vendors you book towards the end - calligraphy, honeymoon, etc. check out the list of vendors and see if there’s anyone that captures your interest.

showing up that late should still leave you plenty of time to look around. the vendor list looks a little shorter this year though i think… i’m hoping that it’s still good!

let me know if you decide to attend. :)

This is going to sound awful….but does anyone know if they serve drinks/appetizers? I convinced my FI to go to the NY Mag Wedding show, not knowing that they had a complimentary open bar and some food, and he LOVED it. So I think that would be a big selling point for him on this one…. Mrs. Bee?

yes they did have wine/champagne, as well as caterers passing around hors douevres. actually LS, it’s pretty darn funny - who knew food and drinks to attract the boys! :)

Thanks Mrs. Bee! Yes, FI went into the last wedding show with a bit of trepidation, obviously doing it for me, and at the end he left saying “I’m so glad we did this, it was so fun!” - although I’m not sure how much of that was the merlot talking! ;)

Thanks!!! I’ll be there with my fiancƒ©. The gift bag enticed him. Can’t wait to tell him about the food and drinks now too! I’ve got pretty much all vendors booked plus my wedding is closer to Philadelphia but I’m going for the ideas. I work in NYC so we’ll pop over after work!
