How exciting! Another couple “joining the club.” Francesca is the hotel owner of Hotelito Casa las Tortugas; the hotel where our groomsman’s destination wedding in Mexico took place. It was so intimate and such a wonderful week, and we really bonded with Francesca and her then boyfriend, now fiance Patrick. They are such a good looking couple. Gosh, I am so jealous.

They have the sweetest story too. Francesca is originally from Italy, and following in her parents footsteps, she opened a hotel in Mexico. Many Europeans vacation on Holbox Island, known for their awesome wind surfing. Patrick was vacationing from the Netherlands (I think). He met Francesca and fell in love. His vacation was for 2 weeks and he wound up staying 2 months. He flew back home, sold his stuff, got rid of his apartment and moved to Holbox where he and Francesca now live and run the hotel together.

They are so sweet and such hard workers. Every morning Patrick would rake the sand! Francesca just sent me an email because she found my post about our groomsman’s wedding. She told me the great news about her and Patrick getting married next March and invited us to their wedding. I am so truly happy for them. It makes me so bubbly inside!
