I’m actually not flower-phobic as these photos would suggest. I just didn’t want any traditional view-blocking, conversation-hindering centerpieces. And since I had already forced Mr. Caterpillar’s mother into craft servitude, I figured what was a little more papercrafting?

The garlanding is all seeded eucalyptus. It caused many a tantrum in my florist. I made her drape miles of it from the ceiling of the tent and along the center of the tables. Then I had her hang large eucalyptus wreaths between the garlands. She charged me an extra $100 for making her climb up and down the ladder. Totally worth it — I loved it so much, I bought more for my bedroom.

Fwd: glasses

(NB: We have since obtained less institutional looking bedclothes.)

Mr. Caterpillar’s mama made every single rattle and placecard you see. (She actually still likes me, if you can believe that.) She also made the large centerpiece in the first picture. She created the pagoda out of watercolor paper, and decoupaged sheet music from Mr. Caterpillar’s piano-learning days onto it.

So there you are. Pictures from my wedding. To come — portraits of the mini donkey I had brought up for “atmosphere”.

At long last! Is it weird for me to say that I feel like a little piece of my life is complete having seen these? Perhaps, but it’s true. Your wedding is the reason I started visiting weddingbee and every time I visit the site I’ve been hoping to see your post-wedding photos. Thanks so much for sharing and, like a greedy little kid, I want more!
