When I posted about my make-up needs, there were some great suggestions! I’d like to thank Mary for suggesting Bobbi Brown Cosmetics! On the website there is a section called “Bridal Beauty” that has THE face look I was going for.
It’s perfect! Maybe add some fake lashes and it’s exactly what I was looking for. This section details how to get the look, and because I’m lazy like that–how to BUY the look.
This is why Bobbi Brown has come up with the Bridal Face Palette . A mirrored compact, it comes with one blush, three eye shadows, two lip colors and a brand new lip shimmer–only available in this collection. I want it! Unforunately, it’s sold out. And $50.00–maybe I can get it as a shower gift or something. 
Anyone know where else I can find it?
sold out where? online? i would go directly to a department store that offers bobbi brown. i saw an entire pedestal/stand dedicated to the bridal palette at bloomingdales in ny. (with many many in stock.)
They appear to have it at Neiman Marcus.com and Nordstrom.com. Hmmm, that’s quite similar to what I want as well. but I haven’t had my makeup trial yet.
However, I looked at the instructions, and you don’t actually get all the makeup the model is wearing in the palette. There’s no eyeliner or mascara, they recommend wearing two blushes but there’s only one in the palette, and the model is wearing a darker lip gloss that’s not included. And it says that if you have fair skin like mine, try a lighter blush than the one included. Well! I’m glad I wasn’t too tempted to buy it, I’d be better off with separate items. We’ll see how my makeup trial goes in a week!
Just a suggestion… but I would go into Nordstrom have a trial and they can recommend what would be best for your skin tone. Way more personal than getting a kit.
Miss Kiwi! Visit the gals at Westside Pavilion Nordstrom and they’ll help you out! I got my makeup done there for my engagement photos and WISH they could travel with me for my wedding.
Their makeover appointments only require a purchase of 3 products.

Good lipcolor on that picture. Too often the “bridal” lips seem to be invisible but a touch of color photographs so well.
from my experience, for photograph taking, the lips color shld be brighter then normal
if not it will look pale or even without the lipstick
standby a few colors just in case on your big day
