I just booked my hairdresser for the wedding day! Grant Bray is a fantastic hairdresser who used to do hair for the cast of Corner Gas (a Canadian TV show that is filmed just outside of Regina), but who has now opened his own salon. I went to see him on Monday to check out the new salon and to see if I could book him for the wedding, though I wasn’t sure that I could afford him - he works in TV and movies for pete’s sake! Anyhow, I was so impressed when I left the salon that I had to share him with all of you. First of all, he actually sat down with me and looked at my hair and asked about details on my dress, the wedding day, what kind of look I was going for and the make-up. Now, I’m not sure what services are like elsewhere, but that kind of undivided personal attention is rare around here!

I really liked him and his ideas, but I still wasn’t sure that I could afford him, and I was nervous about asking what he would charge. But I’m so glad that I did. Not only will he come to the hotel where I will be getting ready and do both mine and my MOH’s hair for only $80(!) but he will also give me a trial for free! He scheduled me in at 6:00 pm one night about two weeks before the wedding and said that we would just spend a couple of hours playing around to see what I liked. Just in case you missed it… a COUPLE of hours….. FREE! Crazy.
