New Bloggers Wanted!

April 26th, 2007 @ 2:05 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

Calling all wanna-Bee’s!

We’re looking to expand our fantastic team of blogging brides-to-be! But because we have very few open slots, we’re looking for some pretty spectacular bloggers. So if you:

  • have a great sense of style
  • have a great writing style or voice
  • update your blog frequently
  • love to share ideas, research, and planning details
  • will share wedding-day photos, vendor and honeymoon reviews, etc.

…then we’d love to hear from you! To apply, see the full guidelines here. And please bear in mind, we’re specifically looking for diverse brides: girls of different races and religions (we’d love an Indian bride!). We’re also looking for brides who are working with a variety of different wedding budgets.

Hope to hear from you soon!

P.S. We get dozens of applications each week here at weddingbee, and we’re a bit behind on reading them. So if you’ve already applied and haven’t heard back, patience please! :)

I’m an Indian bride-to-be and I would love to be a Wedding Bee blogger :)

I have more than 9 months before my wedding though– and no blog. I should get started on one!

ohhh! I wanna-bee-a-bee!

But sadly I have only 3 months till the wedding… and I’m not Indian, I’m a Filipino in Chicago!

Maybe for a future sister-site– Momma2bee hahaha– in time of course!

I’ve already applied to blog and haven’t heard back, but I’m certainly still interested!! I’m not of a different race or culture, but I’m working with a small budget of about 8 or 9k, and I’m planning to tackle a bunch of DIY projects. My wedding will be this November, and I’ve been blogging pretty consistently. http://miss_daffodil.livejournal.com

Weddingbee has been a wonderful resource for my wedding planning, and I would love the opportunity to “be a bee” and help other brides!

I’m a wannabee too! I’ve applied this week and figured that everyone must want to be a bee and that it must take a little bit for the bees to go through all the submissions you get. I’m patient and continue to blog in the meantime on my own blog.

However, I have to say that I am so addicted to this site- I check it before theknot.com for info now. You all completely inspire me! I’d love the opportunity to help brides so I can pay it forward.

I am also a wanna-bee, I have more then 9 months to go (August of ‘08) but have started a lot of planning now and am really big into DIY. I sent in an application already and am anxiouslyl awaiting a response! I am a Minnesooooootan girl, so a little different then the NY’ers or CA’ians who are already bloggin’ away! (I know there are other states represented…but it seems to be fairly localized around here!) Let’s spread the buzz!

i too have more than 9 months to go. i am a filipina going to grad school in los angeles, and we are having our wedding on oahu in hawaii, since it is as central as you can get to the philippines, guam (where my fiance and i grew up but never met), california, and washington, d.c. (where my fiance and i finally met, where he has lived since ‘92, and where i have lived since ‘02) my planners are cousins on both sides in hawaii. we have no clue about the budget yet, probably somewhere between 15-20k. i am excited to have a modern island wedding, a blend of simplicity and filipino/island culture! we are planning for thanksgiving weekend so aside from typical destination activities, i want to have a big thanksgiving/welcome luau/fiesta/bash for all our “off-island” guests, which will be everyone including us! i love DIY, and have gotten started on some design concepts, but non-tacky island stuff is so hard to find. my quest is 24/7!

in time, i shall apply! :) in the meantime, i’ll keep obsessively reading weddingbee (it’s so addicting, since it’s chockfull of resources and relevant topics and isues), and i’ll work on blogging more often for practice!

Ah! I see other Filipina wanna-bee’s! *GRIN*
I’ve applied the other day as well so this post is timely. Oh! I’m Canadian from Vancouver, BC. I was happy to read that Miss Pumpkin is Canadian as well.

I’m a slightly older bride at 34.
I was born in Canada. My fiancƒ© is 35 born in Prague and immigrated to Canada when he was 9. We’re having a mixed Czech-Filipino-North American formal shindig wedding.

wanna-bees :)

I would love to be a bee, but we haven’t even set a date or picked a state to get married in yet! (I’m from MI, he’s from KY, and we’re currently living in TN while he works on getting his degree.) All in good time. I’m addicted to looking at wedding sites, esp weddingbee. I check it every day when i check my email, hehe.

We are in our young/mid 20s and trying to build a budget of about $10k while we’re in wedding limbo. (And my mother was an English major so she beat that stuff into me and my three siblings and would hate that I started this sentence with ‘and’ and then turned it into a run-on.) I have ordered my dress tho.. and it was shipped yesterday..eeee! I’m so excited about it!

Can’t wait to meet the new bees!

I wanna be a bee. I’m an African American bride from Texas. I currently have a blog going on xanga…juju2098. Sweetie and I are paying for our wedding. I’ll tell you my budget if I can whisper it into your ear…shhh…it’s 6-8k. Did I also mention I have champagne dreams and beer budget. To fix this, I’ve got DIY coming out of my arse. hope to blog soon!

I’ve applied to blog twice in March and never got a reply. I’m not Indian, but I am a new england bride and that’s unique as we are underrepresented (is that one word or two?) on weddingbee. I know you guys are super busy but it would be great to get a declination or an invite to blog. At least, I wouldn’t keep running home to check my email! Thanks! kbossie dot blogspot dot com.

I am a bride to bee. My wedding will be in May of 2008. I was interested in this site before I read the racist not to mention illegal comment “we’d love an Indian bride!”. Good luck with that.

I just sent in my application! I’m an American bride but marrying in Spain in a full-on traditional Spanish wedding. I’m more than 9 months out (April 08) but have to be ahead of the game with all the OOT guests we’re expecting. I love that you’re looking for diversity in brides and budgets, I hope I can contribute to that! Not to mention I am an obsessive blogger and love all things wedding!

Saludos……
