“Your Heart Is My Home”

April 26th, 2007 @ 5:29 pm by Mrs. Ant

We’ve been married for some months now. I wasn’t expecting that newlywed feeling because we’ve been together for so long and passed that honeymoon stage a long time ago. In fact, I wasn’t expecting any changes at all because we’ve been living together for years.

But, for some reason, our love has grown exponentially stronger and deeper… and sillier and mushier.

Sure, there are still those days when we can’t stand each other. (His fault, of course… *wink*) But we are happier together than ever. blush04

I’m in a dreamy mood, so here are some images and words that illustrate that newlywed feeling:

Body heat, tickled laughter, whispered sweets
Tangled feet, rumpled blankets, sweaty sheets
Hearts on beat, candid comforts, no tricks just treats
So complete, and tomorrow, let’s repeat”

rausser bear hug

rausser sheets rausser swing

rausser snuggle

rausser bed jump rausser upside down

i’d say the newlywed feeling lasts through the first year of marriage. although mr. bee doesn’t believe in such things as “the newlywed period” …. he says it only ends if you believe it ends. ;)

This is what I’m most looking forward to more than the flowers, the dress, or the honeymoon.

My cousin told me this kind of thing, too…she and her FI lived together for more than a year before their wedding and still afterward she remaked at how their connection was a little closer and they felt *married.* It was very sweet hearing that from her!
