One of my favorite online boutiques, Room Service Home, has these GORGEOUS rosary crosses that would be great for the religious bride to carry down the aisle and/or wrap around her bouquet.

If Mrs. BoP reads this, did your florist put the red lace on the bouquet or did you buy it yourself? I love it.

Mrs. Bird of Paradise says:

my grandmother tatted the material for me. the florist put the satin ribbon and then attached the red piece on top. he also wound the rosary beneath all of that.

Beautiful. I love the crochet and rosary! If there are brides who want the tatting but don’t have a sweet grandma to make it, check out ebay for vintage hankies (tons of colors available) which can be used in tact or for parts. Might be able to get a deal on pieces that are damaged/stained if all you want is the edging.

Mrs. BoP, what kind of flowers were used in your bouquet? Very pretty!

Iris–brilliant! I need to rifle through my bag of hankies now. I have two generations’ worth from both sides of my family; surely something will match my colors (or be white on white). Thanks!

KDN - thanks! my bouquet consisted of peonies.

KDN says:

Sigh… of course your lovely bouquet was made with peonies! :) (They are one of my fave flowers but will not be in season when I get married - September.)
