Dr. Kim! Paging Dr. Kim!

May 1st, 2007 @ 12:29 pm by Mrs. Pumpkin

I was in Vegas this past weekend for one of my oldest friends’ bachelorette party and I had a BLAST! I am home now with so many great memories, several bruises and very sore feet. We spent most of our time laying out by the pool, gambling, shopping and eating, but the highlight of the trip was our Saturday Night at Chippendale’s!

We were in Vegas from Wednesday to Monday, but Saturday night was deemed the “Bachelorette Party” even though we had been clubbing for two nights already. So we got our Bride all gussied up in her Victoria’s Secret “Team Bride” rhinestone tank top and took her out to Chippendale’s at The Rio. We had more than a few giggles waiting to be seated in the “Flirt Lounge” ordering drinks like Sensuous and Lipstick and taking pictures while the girls danced around the poles in the room. It was a great way to get the evening started and put you in the right frame of mind for what you were about to see.

We then were seated in a long booth in the theatre where the show would be, and watched as pictures of the men on their calender shoot went by on a screen. The Bride-to-be instantly took a shine to Steve Kim, one of the dancers, but we weren’t sure if he would be in this particular show or not. When the show started and Steve Kim actually came out, she squealed like a school girl! It was so great. Such fun. He later came out in a doctor’s outfit (we have been making Dr. Kim jokes ever since!) and at one point he came into the crowd and hugged (and goosed!) our friend. She was so excited and that made the night for all of us!

The show was actually really great - I was expecting a cheesy kind of a show but it was very entertaining. The guys are very talented dancers and singers and they had a couple of Cirque du Soleil-type acrobat sections in the show that were amazing. All of this was made better by the fact that the dancers are hot and practically naked.

We had a couple of options that night (Chippendale’s, Thunder Down Under, and the Sapphire Club where they have the Full Monty type shows) and I couldn’t be happier with our choice. I am also so glad that we did go to a show like that - especially since it was a whole weekend in a place where you do all of the things that people normally do at a bachelorette party. Going to Chippendale’s really differentiated that night from the others, gave us some fun memories and a fantastic send off for our Bride-to-be.

Our Bride-to-be is in the pink tank in the back row getting another hug from Dr. Kim!

What are your thoughts on male strippers or Chippendale type shows? Are you planning on doing anything like that at your bachelorette parties?

Were they sweaty though? I went to a strip show for one of my friend’s bachalorette party and didn’t want these guys anywhere near me. They were dripping sweat. And not that cute. But even if they were…yuck! Stranger sweat is not something I want rubbed on me.

But it was fun (and funny) to watch.

Sounds like a hoot! Though I’m not sure all of them are flirting with the GIRLS… the fiances, boyfriends and husbands have nothing to worry about! : )

hahaaha, we went to Las Vegas for a friends bachelorette party a couple of years ago and we too were mesmerized by Steve Kim’s handsome face and oh la la body…hahaha. Surprisingly, Chippendale’s was fun - it was a hoot seeing all of the screaming ladies go gaga over their skits. they were funny.
