Help! Which Do I Choose?!

May 1st, 2007 @ 8:31 am by Mrs. Emerald

Ok, so normally I am a fairly decisive person, especially with all things wedding-related… but I am really having a tough time with flower girl dresses! These are all just too freakin’ cute (not to mention somewhat similar), and decently priced to boot! I’m gonna have two cutie patootie flower girls, ages 1 and 3. I’m sure they would look absolutely adorable even if I dress ‘em in potato sacks, but still, I’d love some input…

Dress 1 - Ivory poly-silk dress with ivory sash and red flower accent (it would match my red bridesmaid dresses)

Dress 2 - Similar ivory poly-silk dress with ivory sash and pale pink flower accent (pink is one of my accent colors too)

Dress 3 - Ivory dress with pink sash and embroidery

Dress 4 - Ivory organza dress with pink sash and accent flower (one of the sizes I need is currently sold out…don’t know how long it will take them to re-stock!)

All dresses are from Flower Girl US, and are priced between $45 - $60-ish (which I have to admit is a TAD bit more than I was hoping to spend, but oh, what the heck! I can’t seem to find ones that I like better on my favorite go-to site, eBay.)

Which one is your favorite?

You could always have them in two different dresses that co-ordinated. I like number four because if the child is prone to lifting her skirt, there’s the organza overlay she can lift and still stay decent. I’m partial to number one as well though… I just let the flowergirl’s mom pick, she’s way more decisive than I am and I figured she’d be the one deciding if the kid will ever wear it again (I think she’ll be wearing it for as many “special occassions” as there are between my wedding and her growing out of it- even if the colors aren’t right for Christmas!!)

Dresses 2 and 4, since 4 only comes in one size, currently. They would complement each other nicely.

I think dress number one is very elegant–and I like that it coordinates with the b/m dresses

I like 1 because of the matching with the BM dresses too. Although I also like the idea of asking the mom(s) of the flower girls

If you don’t feel strongly RE your accent color (red or pink), could let the skirt guide decision (do the skirts of the bridesmaids and bride have the organza overlayer?).

Q: Are they the same in the back? From the front, they are all so similar. But if one is extra-cute in the back, that makes good photos.

You can’t go wrong with any of these. (Except that the final one sounds like a pain to procure — unnecessary stress!)

I like Dress #3. I love colored flower girl dresses. Ours–now that yesterday’s emergency of the flower girl’s mom’s freaking out and canceling of the order has been averted–is a lovely buttercream yellow with a navy sash. However, they’re all pretty damn cute. You could easily get #2 and #4 and have them as complementary dresses.

I would go with dress #4. Im not too big a fan of the first 2. I agree, I think it would be tough to find something you like on ebay. If your not happy with the dresses, have you tried stores near you? I know Lord and Taylor is well known for their wedding dresses. If there’s one near you, I’m sure they could help out.

Hrmm, ok #4 just got ruled out cuz I heard back from Flower Girl US customer service that it is no longer being made. Hence no more size 18 months… Looks like #1 is definitely the front runner!!

honestly i like the skirt flow of #2 best.

but if i had to go for the full picture. i’d go with #4 but… oh 4 isn’t available. so 1 would be the runner up for me also.

i’d say #2 more if the rose weren’t in the middle. otherwise, on the side, i think it beats out the rest of the dresses.

I like 2 and 3. I think it would be cuter to have each girl in a different dress, but that’s just my taste haha.
