Yay! Gocco rocks! I’m going to be starting the Gocco process myself within the next few weeks - I can’t wait to hear the full details of printing, construction, etc.! I’m a relative Gocco-newbie so I’d love any extra advice or techniques that are gocco-specific. Thanks for sharing!

looks great! what color ink did you use for the gold? i just gocco’d my Save the Dates last night with gold ink, and it looks much darker and bronzier than your gold.

Wow, I love the gold floral detail! Did you draw that yourself or use some kind of clipart? Also, is the blue border just printed on the edge?? It looks like it’s a separate card!

I was entertaining the idea of doing my own Gocco invites, but I’ve had a hard time finding one.

Where did you get yours?
Did you get it locally?

Wow I tried doing GOCCO but my attempt was a mess. The ink smeared everywhere. Yours looks GREAT!

i bought my gocco from ebay…seems like the only place you can get it these days…i’m in the NYC area and there’s an art store called Pearl’s Paint or something like that on Canal street and they sell the inks and screens…

sloe-eyed - I’ve got that gold too, and this one is one of my Japanese gocco inks and it’s a much lighter gold… but I sadly can’t tell you the name of the color since I can’t read it :( If I can find a link to someone selling it I’ll share!

SoireeLaura - thanks so much! The artwork was modeled after artwork I saw on an invite and reproduced on my own… the rose is actually from a fashion handbag :) As for the blue background… it’s actually a fabric sided card, and invite is attached on top of it! :)

harugirlie - Here’s a great tutorial on gocco (complete with pictures) http://www.getcrafty.com/blogs.php?user=dilettantecrafter&entry=5305

As for finding a gocco… there are quite a few online resources that I can share with everyone in a seperate post! I bought mine about 3 years ago at a local art supply store - but eBay and other stores are easy suppliers!

Beautiful invite. I’m so jealous of the gocco! Quick question, if you don’t mind. What kind of laserjet printer do you have? I may have to invest in a new printer to DIY my invites and am curious as to which brand I should get. Thanks in advance!
