Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Me Loves Acorns

May 7th, 2007 @ 3:59 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Well, after doing another random search for “invitations with leaves and acorns” I think I found the invite I love. It’s called “Autumn Glow”, and I don’t know who makes it- whoops. All I know is that I found it here. happy03 That’s helpful, isn’t it?

Anyway, this is the invitation I love. While the leaves look a little “holly-like”, the tiny acorn at the bottom makes me swoon with joy. At $123.00 for 125 invitations, I think it’s a total bargain. Sure, to get mocha ink it’s five dollars more, but that’s OK. For the RSVP set, it’s $49.00 for 100.

Now, let me show you:

While I really love this invitation, I’m going to keep my eyes out for something else, just in case. We will most likely order in June, once we get all the details squared away. What do you think?

They’re cute, but I think the acorn is a bit small…

I did a google search for “acorn wedding invitations” and came across formal-invitations dot com. They have a DIY section, and a really cute acorn charm that you could totally rock on your invites :)

All the options for background, overlay, ribbons, charms, envelopes, liners, etc. is here:
http://www.formal-invitations.com/invitation-instructions.html

For 100 invites with a background, a vellum overlay, a ribbon at the top, acorn charms, invite envelopes, reply cards (preprinted) and reply envelopes, the total (before tax and shipping) was only $123.50 or $1.23 per set!

I’ve never used this company but it might be worth getting a sample? I think if you really like the acorns it’s better to make them the focus than the accent…

If you like acorns, MS had a spread a few years ago with a fall themed wedding. Let me dig it up and show you.
