Our destination is Paris, France! :) Wow, I didn’t expect to be spending my honeymoon in France. We initially wanted to go to Barcelona, Spain. We went to several travel agencies and the prices were pretty high. I checked online and I spent about three hours trying to find a flight to Barcelona.

Everything was booked for the transfer flight from Madrid to Barcelona, so we really had no luck finding a good flight. I finally decided to check out Paris and the prices were great. We’ll be spending one week in Paris. I can’t wait to check out all of the museums (especially the Louvre!) and I can’t wait to do some serious shopping at Galleries Lafayette!

Congratulations!!! Paris is gorgeous and special. Have you been to Paris before? (A half-day spent wandering Rue Cler is one of our favorite memories…)

tristeespanola — Paris is the city of romance, why not go there for our honeymoon? :)

mrikagurl — nope, we haven’t been to Paris yet! We decided to go there because my fiance has been to many beautiful tropical-like areas such as the Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand.. I’ve also been to Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica. We both wanted to check out a city in Europe, yet I didn’t want to worry too much about transporation. Paris is excellent because getting to museums and places like Monet’s Garden is pretty easy with the convenient transportation.

Paris will be fab - be sure to go to the gorge Turkish baths in the Marais quarter and have a great scrub down. Very relaxing post wedding stress!

Make sure you tell people “we decided to go to Paris because it was cheaper” just to see their reactions.

Mrs. Bell Pepper, would you know the name of the shopping center that has the gorgeous glass and iron dome? We were just talking about how we should go there!

It’s galleries lafayette, located in the opera district. It’s a department store but it’s so beautiful and worth checking out.
