About Mrs. Bell Pepper

For about 75-80 guests, I’m expecting that we will have about eight tables. I wanted a variety of heights for our centerpieces, half tall, and half low centerpieces. I love these centerpieces which are featured on White Lilac:

I love the wrought iron candelabra idea and the jewels hanging from the centerpiece. I searched all over the Philadelphia/NJ area for candlestick holders, and I found five that have a similar design. For the hanging jewels, I found chandelier crystals from this website. I tied each jewel to the candlestick holder with a very thin monofilament fishing line. I wanted to hang each jewel just like how it was done in the White Lilac arrangements, but the idea just didn’t look right with my candlestick holders. So I hung each jewel at a shorter distance from the base and added six jewels across the holder.

The effect is not as dramatic but I think I prefer this design because it looks more organized.

For the low centerpieces I bought metal vases from Jamali Garden. I am sooo addicted to buying stuff from this website. I bought a bunch of vases and urns that match the color of the candlestick holders. They come in all different heights and I’ll add three urns/vases to each low centerpiece table and several to the tall centerpiece tables. These are the metal vases I purchase on their website:

Small Bronze Beaded Urns $6.99 each

Oval Urns $7.50 each

Lion Handle Urns $14 each

I love these copper vases but they’re out of stock! :(

As far as the flowers, I will primarily use roses because they are easy to get in whatever color I want, such as lavender, mauve, light green, yellow and ivory. Hydrangeas and roses are a pretty combination and I might also add some green orchids or cream colored peonies.

I feel like I’m pulling all these colors and ideas out of my imagination. Would they look great or would my ideas fail? I guess I won’t know until our wedding day. In the meantime, I’ll keep my fingers crossed tightly. :)

The white Lilac pictures were the inspiration for my centerpieces as well. The closest thing I could find were some plant stands. The flowers aren’t done (this pic has less than half of what it will have) and this is the taller stand. The flowers will actually be sitting where the florist is holding her hand.

will you do your own flowers before your wedding? Are you doing them day-of? I really like what you have chosen!

Very pretty and like you say–dramatic. I like the hanging crystals! I’ll have to look into doing something like that, somewhere else… :-)
