Lovely! My sister has a lot in her garden, and I’m hoping some will be blooming for my wedding in three weeks so I can use some. Dunno though, everything’s been late this year.

so beautiful! I’m in love with peonies- I had a big bouqet of peonies for my bridal bouquet and I couldn’t stop smelling them- they smell as gorgeous as they look!

Oh I love the peonies. Saturday I had a meeting with my florist and despite the fact that she told me i was unlikely to get them for my end of August wedding I still kept showing her pictures of beautiful peonies. Finally my mom, laughing said enough and went to cut the one peony in her garden. She plunked it down in a bud vase and said- here this is your peony :). I burst out laughing.

Peonies are here in Northern California right now at a premium price. You can expect to see these beauties for $10-15 per stem. The deep burgundy color is worth it.
