DIY Heaven!

May 14th, 2007 @ 9:24 am by Mrs. Emerald

Ooohhhh… lookie at what I saw at Michael’s yesterday! A whole aisle devoted to the fab goodies that were recently launched on Martha Stewart Crafts (merely 2 weeks ago!). There were so many cute things, I could hardly stand it… but somehow I managed to not buy any of it. As adorable as all of the products were, they were on the costly side, sold in small increments, and didn’t fit into my color scheme anyways. whateva But I’m sure there are plently of you who can take advantage of good ole Martha. After all, there are tons of Michael’s stores all over! Happy Hunting! laughin01 (sorry, here’s a camera-phone pic)

It happened to be so advantageous. On April 29th I was walking through Michael’s looking for labels for my invitations and they had the Martha Stewart stuff set up already even though it didn’t technically launch until a few days later. They were perfect for my invitations! Costly? Yes, but they were perfect! Martha is a genius.

I saw this stuff over the weekend at Michael’s too! I’m so glad she’s expanding out of Kmart (finally) and into a more craft-worthy national chain.

I made it through the whole display, only buying one thing. I was very smug about that.

FYI: rumor has it, you can’t use the M’s 40% coupons for her stuff. I’ve yet to see it in real life yet!

I’ve been avoiding going into Michael’s ever since I heard her line came out… I know if I take one look at it I’ll go on a massive spending spree! Michael’s keeps calling my name though and I know I’m going to end up there pretty soon!

I too saw the display at Michael’s and starting drooling over everything. Too bad most of the items were a little too pricey.

the rumor is true: they have it as an exclusion on the coupons. i was minorly bummed but then again, knowing me i wouldn’t be rushing out to buy most of that stuff anyway. i did find it amusing that she packaged the tissue pom-pom things as a kit…for $20 you can make 7 poms never mind that you can make a whole lot more buying the materials separately. but i will admit that i stroll through the aisle just to look everytime i stop at michael’s!

I read online at Michael’s site that MS products are excluded from all coupons. That stinks!

But, I can’t wait to get the monkey party set for my friend’s graduation party!!

Normally I hate Michael’s. I go there only when I truly have to. I may have to stop by, though, because I love MS.

Try browsing the website, if you dare!

http://www.marthastewartcrafts.com/

I checked it out the other day, and by the time I got a hold of myself, I had already added a couple hundreds of dollars worth of stuff to my shopping cart…Fortunately, I came to my senses, immediately closed my web browser, and forbade myself from going back.

So tempting, though…;)
