Invitation Concepts Part I

May 16th, 2007 @ 9:28 am by Mrs. Snow Pea

It was the best decision ever to let someone else handle my invitations. It’s just great! I don’t have to think about them or be responsible for them. I don’t have to toss and turn in bed thinking about envelope sizes. This allows me more time to concentrate on the important things such as spending time with all our family and friends involved with this wedding. Now all I have to do is check my inbox and oh look, more wedding invitation concepts for my choosing and viewing pleasure. I emailed Peggy of OlioStyle a collage of photos to give her a feel of my overall wedding vision. Within days, she put a few ideas together for me. Here are a few them.

I like the way the graphic goes over the fold on the first one.

2.
Firesong says:

I like the first one, “Flourish 6,”, the best but I don’t care for the color. I also like the second design, “Rose Garden” — it has that White Aisle botanical print look.

What’s the price range for OlioStyle?

3.
Tanya says:

I like “Flourish 6″ or “Victoria.” I’d actually like them even better if it were metallic ink on a jewel-toned background, like navy or burgundy, but that’s just me. It would look good on an ivory background as well.

I like #4 or #5 depending on how ornate you want to go. I tend to like #5 better though.

Miss Snow Pea says:

Tanya - I should have mentioned that. Picture the designs with metallic ink or gold foil. The color you see there is just supposed to represent that. I haven’t decided between thermography which is metallic or gold foil which is literally foil (shiny).

Firesong - The price comiserates with the type of printing you want so it can vary ie. flat vs. letterpress. but her services are affordable. The best thing to do is to contact Peggy.

I don’t know what your theme is..but I’m really drawn to the last one. The damask print is lovely. My personal favorite.

Nicole says:

i really like number 1 - i think it will look wonderful as a foil.

the girly girl in me likes the pink of the second one as well!

I like #1 and #5! I prefer the pink though.

Andria says:

Did she design these especially for you or are these ones you can order on the website?

26.
Miss Snow Pea says:

She designed these specifically for me, but she can design anything you like. She also has a DIY option if you want her to design something and then you print them yourself.

Laura says:

I love #2 and #4. I love florals and really like the placement of the graphics on the page in these two styles. I also like #1 quite a bit but not as much as #2 and #4.

I think #5 is too ornate and busy.

28.
Miss Popcorn says:

I’ll throw in my vote for #2, followed closely by #3.

29.

I love the pink - that’s just the style we’re going to have. my godmother is a keen card maker and rubber stamper so we’re going to have to track down that design in a rubber stamp so she can get the effect right. she’s determined to provide us with our invitations and so that it looks suitably gorgeous i’m going to have to rein in her creative juices somewhat!! loving the pink. gorgeous, refined and completely elegant.xx
