I Love These Little Moments

May 18th, 2007 @ 4:37 pm by Mrs. Snow Pea

Over the weekend, Mr. Snow Pea and I went to Target to pick up a few things for the bathroom baskets. I couldn’t decide whether I should buy the mini travel bottle of mouthwash or the small 16 oz size of mouthwash.

Me: Which one should I get?
Mr. Snow Pea: What’s that for?
Me: The bathroom baskets. (Like he’s supposed to know what that is.)
Mr. Snow Pea: WHAT?!? stunned You’re buying it for every guest!
Me: Honey, nooo. It’s for the bathroom at the reception. Ya know? Not the individual hotel rooms.
Mr. Snow Pea: Oh, ok. (Still doesn’t have a clue what I am talking about.)

Arlene, a sweet Target employee standing right next to us starts bursting out laughing and says, “Get the travel size. Not that many people will gargle. They will be gargling their drinks instead!”

Thanks Arlene!

And that was our weekend wedding musing. pleased

This interaction reminds me of every interaction I have with my dear FI re: random wedding decisions, lol …

The florist just gave me a tip about the bathroom baskets. Don’t get the travel size because people put them in their purses! I know that sounds tacky, who would take the mouthwash from the bathroom basket, but you would be surprised!

I disagree, particularly for the mouthwash - get the trial size. Honestly, would you use mouthwash that had already been opened with no cups nearby? Eww…

Pencils says:

Yes, I think the trial size is good–how many people are going to want mouthwash? One, maybe two. So one is enough. I’m going to work under the idea that these are for emergencies, and there won’t be many emergencies. It’s not like I’m providing the soap. (Although I did think about getting pretty rose petal soap.) The bathroom baskets are one more thing I have to do this weekend! Only two weeks until the wedding.

We’re including gum. We think more people will chew gum than rinse. Just so you all know, I was talking to Mr. Snow Pea about the mouthwash again (just randomly) and he still had no idea what I meant…that the basket is for the reception only and will have to accomodate 50 or so people. Oh well. I’ll do the trial size. But HC has a good point..I might just pick up 2 more en tout cas.
