About Mrs. Apple

I just got off the phone with my cousin and her first question to me was, “So are you nervous?” That’s been “The #1 question” for me the past 2 weeks.

I usually give them a quick answer, “I’m not nervous at all, just ready to celebrate our wedding day. I am so ready - more ready than anyone will ever know.” :)

I think I’ve done all that I need to do for the wedding. It’s just smooth sailing right now. Maybe all of this free time gives me a chance to let it sink in. But shouldn’t it make me worry more about the little possible mishaps?

I was reading up on the weather forecasts for our wedding day. There will be a chance of scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Oh sh*t, who cares. I am at THAT point too.

Do brides usually get nervous around this time? One week ahead? The week of? The day before? How was it for you?

I just got married a month ago. I was not the least bit nervous. Not even the day of. I kept waiting for the nerves, but it never came. I was curious. I was excited. But that’s it. I think it has to do with what you said about the weather. My attitude was “whatever” as long as we got married. If it rained (it didn’t), if the flowers weren’t right (they were perfect), who cared? I was going to marry a man I really love.

Less than two weeks for me now, and people keep asking me if I’m nervous, although my hair stylist and the assistant at the bridal salon both commented that I’m a very calm bride. I’m OK, really. The only thing at this point that will upset me is if the rabbi doesn’t show up! Anything else (other than a car accident or something terrible) I can deal with. If it rains, then we’ll be married inside. The important thing is that we’re getting married!

i was fine until we drove up to the cathedral, then i got a little jittery. the moment right before the doors opened, music playing, i was a pile of nerves~ and tears! happy nervous tears. then when i saw him, i was calm and had happy tears.

I was calm as well as everything felt surreal more than anything else. I only got real butterflies/nerves seconds before I headed down the stairs to enter the wedding ceremony.

I never really hit nervous either. Exited, most definitely. The moment those doors at the church open though, it is a little overwhelming all of a sudden. I received advice from a friend who had gotten married only a few months earlier that I latched on to. That advice was to lock your eyes on your groom and focus on making it to him. Everything else then seems to melt away and I was completely fine.

My sister never got nervous before her wedding. I did somewhat, but I have a tinge of social anxiety about being in front of large groups of people. It didn’t have anything to do with how the wedding would go or the fact that there was a wedding. :) Enjoy yourself! :D

I’m getting married in two weeks and I’m a little nervous how the whole event will come out. I’m not nervous about marrying my fiance. I’m just nervous about how the details will come together. Everyone keeps telling me to just relax and remember that no wedding is perfect. The point is that a wedding doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful! Good Luck Miss Apple!

Oh, it’s so nice to hear this! My wedding is 6 days away…I’m struggling with nerves because of the stupid weather (same forecast as you, Miss Apple, though depends on which weather website I visit!). I think what I’m feeling is just nervous anticipation. I don’t care if my dress goes up in flames and the flowers are all dead. I’m finally marrying the guy I’ve loved for the past 10 years.

Ugh, I’m SIX weeks away and I’m nervous. The worst part is that there’s no particular source of nerves that I can define and therefore do something about. No, I’m just generally freaked out about the wedding, though I’m SO excited to get married.

I think I have the same wedding date as you, Miss Apple! Probably the same date as Jennygolightly, too. I’m not nervous, either. It’s so weird. I feel like I should be nervous so if anything I’m nervous about not being nervous! I guess it STILL hasn’t hit me yet.

i have three weeks to go and i’m not nervous. i was totally nervous earlier on. at this point almost everything is done, aside from little details. i know that if i don’t get those details done the wedding will still be wonderful. now i’m just enjoying the anticipation and tying up loose ends. congrats!

i was perfectly fine until they started playing canon in d and my bridal party starting walking down the aisle. then i started freaking out a little! i think it was the prospect of walking down the aisle and having everyone staring at me. :)

I don’t think I was nervous at all, even the night before. The morning of my wedding I just sat in the hotel room by myself snacking and watching tv while waiting for my hair/make-up lady. I think when it came closer to leaving the hotel I was getting more frustrated and paranoid cause I was running late. Once you get to the ceremony everything will happen so fast so just try to take time and enjoy yourself. About the rain… it’s texas, the weather is always unpredictable here.

I’m 12 days out and actually a lot happier, more calm and excited than I thought I was “supposed” to be at this point. I hope I’m still this content when the wedding day comes…that would be incredible.

While I can’t tell you if I was nervous or not (wait 8 months and I can tell you!), don’t be nervous about the rain. They do say that if it rains on your wedding day, it’s good luck. Plus, if there’s a huge thunderstorm, as long as your ceremony or anything isn’t outside, think of some of the really cool photos you could get with the awesome dark looking sky…there’d be such a cool contrast with you in the white dress. Optimism! And good for you for not being nervous! I’m sure I’ll get butterflies…but all in the good way! :-)
