Yesterday I attended the Vera Wang Fashion Show at the Ritz-Carlton here in DC…and it was incredible…
It was a brunch and started with a cocktail reception, then we moved to this room for the fashion show:
then moved into this room for the brunch:

It looks like such a beautiful event! I love most of the gowns…Vera Wang continues to be a fashion driving force in the bridal industry and I can really see why. Thank you for taking pictures!!
With that, I suppose every fashion show needs a few wildcards. What’s up with that weird pantsuit with the huge bow on the back?? Odd….
Is that how I’m supposed to hold my bouquet when I walk down the aisle? Geez…why not just put it on a rope and drag it behind me?
There’s only about 1 or 2 dresses on there that I actually like. Not a fan of Vera. I’m a tried and true Romona Keveza fan.
However, those flowers are GORGEOUS…especially that big bunch of white phaelenopsis orchids and tulips!!!
Ugh. Most of those dresses are horrible!
I agree with Jenny. The suit with the bow in the back is especially hideous.
I always thought Vera Wang was all about beautiful ball gowns with gorgeous and unique details. Some of these gowns are kind of strange. Oh well to each his own I guess.
ha ha! i guess everyone has different taste because i think they’re incredibly unique and gorgeous. the vast majority of wedding dresses look the same and these all look so different! plus, the one with the jacket and pants is gorgeous for an older or 2nd time bride.
I like the 6th one, from the back at least - I clicked on this preparing to have “I already ordered my dress” uneasiness, but most of these are way too different even for the most fashion-forward bride.
love the floral arrangements but i have to agree w/others…most of those dresses are horrible! =(
That’s a whole lotta fug. I’m not a fan of the ‘paper bag cinched around the chest’ look.
First one’s kinda pretty if you’re a twig and the last one has some nice details, but overall…no.
