Bridesmaid Dress Makeover

May 24th, 2007 @ 2:04 pm by Mrs. Lovebug

Makeovers are fun. Especially when you take something really, really scary and make it beautiful. Just ask Joan Rivers’s cosmetologist. (Wow, I do love the celebrity knock-downs, don’t I?)

An even bigger feat, however, would be to take the hideous bridesmaid dress you swore you’d never wear again and remake it into something fashionable and wearable. Impossible? Maybe.

But if you’re open to the possibility, you might just end up on TV.

We received an email from a producer of Inside Edition NY; the show is doing a segment on ugly bridesmaid dresses. They’d like people to send in photos of their vile BM frocks (wedding photos would be ideal), and if they’re chosen, come on the show to have their dress remade into something they could wear to another wedding or event.

If you’re interested, email viviannak21@aol.com, and tell her Weddingbee sent ya. The deadline is June 13.

How fun! I took a full-length a-line gown I wore in a wedding and hemmed it around the knee then finished with a ribbon and bow below the bust. Perfect for a company Christmas party.
