The Ribbon Jar

May 24th, 2007 @ 5:44 pm by Mrs. Bee

The Ribbon Jar is an adorable site where you can shop for a wide variety of textured and patterned ribbons by color, type, and price. (I saw the site featured on a blog a couple of months ago and bookmarked it, but I forget which!)

I love their custom jars where you select a jar to store and display your precious ribbon.

I have one crafty bride-to-be friend in mind that I’d love to send this to! :)

Don’t click on their “ideas” link! You’ll go blind!

Okay, not really. But you’ll lose any additional free time you had lying around, because you’ll be overcome by the need to craft!!!

Finally a DIY project easy enough for even me to mimic. Even those of us who are entirely craft-impaired can get an old jar and stick some ribbons in it. Not ON it with a glue gun, mind you, but ya just cut the ribbon (whatever length you want, any kind, any color, any style), and wind it up a little and stuff it in the jar. Then screw on the lid. Ta-Da! I think Grandma’s scrap box can be polished off and re-gifted… would keep nieces busy for a bit and would teach them to clean up after themselves. Jars like this abound at yard sales this time of year — check it out. Also available at thrift stores, flea markets, etc.
