We went to Flushing last weekend to pick up my qipao. The dress looks beautiful but there was one problem with the dress. It didn’t fit like a glove anymore! I lost some weight around my bum and it surprised everyone including myself. I didn’t see much of a weight change recently but I did notice my pants were getting looser around the hips. Perhaps I gained more muscle and lost some fat? Oh well, it was kind of hilarious because everyone was staring at that specific area of my body in such shock! The tailor kindly altered my dress again and within two hours the dress was finally finished.

It’s beautiful and very modern looking! My mother would like it because it has peonies. She ragged on me when I picked a pattern with chrysanthemums. I goofed since I didn’t know what is best traditionally–luckily the piping has some peonies.
