Introducing… OUR INVITATIONS!

May 31st, 2007 @ 2:28 pm by Mrs. Raspberry

They are FINALLY all out and we have started to receive some of the RSVP/menu cards, so I think it is safe to share a few pictures with you.

Since making invitations is what I do for a living, I thought it most appropriate to make ours. :) And after many renditions, I am so happy with the final result. So without any further ado…

They came in the mail in this box…

and when you open it… VOILA!

Since we needed to know which guest would be having what entree, I created this little card and filled in each of the guests names for them. We asked that they send the menu card back with the RSVP.

What do you think?! :)

beautiful invites! i would have loved receiving a little package in the mail and to open it to find your wedding invitation!

I’m sure your guests will love and appreciate the energy and effort you put into your invites. I know many of my guests did, and it really set the tone for the rest of our wedding.

I love the script typeface you are using! (Unless that is “real” calligraphy on the invitation….) Mind sharing the name of the font?

Just so you know, even though you blocked out the ceremony location and city on your invites, you kept them in your bio….just thought you should know!

Amazing. No wonder you do that for a living!

How were all the inserts arranged in the box? I was thinking about doing boxed invitations but can’t work through how to organize it all together!

you know… i thought those stamps looked funny when you posted them before, but I had another thought: perhaps angling them so they’re flush with the envelope’s corner would looks more uniform.

Love the embossing though - looks lovely!

To answer some of your questions…

there is no font for our names - we did have our calligrapher write them out for us…

I do have a website - it is http://www.hautepapier.com

The RSVP envelopes are indeed embossed- I had a stamp made of the address

As for the alignment of the stamp - I tried it and wasn’t thrilled… on the actual ones that got sent out, I used the LOVE stamp from 1995 - see my previous post…

As for arranging in the box, I put the reception card behind the invite and the RSVP cards/envelope on the very bottom

Absolutely beautiful invites! I love your colors as they are mine as well!!!! heh heh.
I am also sending mine out in boxes, but I was wondering where you got your brown boxes. That particular shade has been difficult for me to find. THX.

Miss Raspberry, did you do your own calligraphy? Also, would you mind sharing where you got your stamps made?
