Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Little Boxes All In A Row

May 31st, 2007 @ 12:05 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

I have a thing for little boxes. I love them so. Luckily for my wallet, our favor boxes are already purchased, and the beautiful boxes for sale at Romantic Flowers will only be admired from afar. For those of you who still have to get your boxes, here are some great ones by Midori- available at Romantic Flowers.com.

These boxes are going to be available at the end of July, so they are taking pre-orders.

This is a pink and gold cherry blossom pattern. $1.90 per box (which is definitely more than I’d want to spend, but lovely nevertheless) 2″x2″x2″

Also available in cream/black cherry blossom

And blue/gold cherry blossom

For those of you looking for the similar colors without the cherry blossom pattern, they also have these:

Blue/Brown

Pink/Brown

And Cream/Black

These boxes are so beautiful, you don’t really need to add anything extra! Although, if you’re looking for a favor bag, Midori also has a favor kit with labels and bags with a self adhesive closure. The price is $19.95, and makes 12. Like the boxes, this will be available July 31.

It might be on the pricey side for favors, but if your bridesmaid gifts are, say, jewelry…

Budget version of this idea is to get plain boxes but wrap the lid and box separately with stylish paper, so the paper stays on after it’s opened.

I have a great template for do it yourself boxes/ cards. If you’re up for the DIY task of making your boxes I’ll share it with you. Cost per box about half of what you have listed, depends also on the cost of your choosen paper!

I love little boxes, too! But this time around, I also found that I love nests as well… ;)
