And tomorrow we will be in double digits! But check out what arrived yesterday… our very FIRST wedding present!!

It came from my dear friend R, who’s been like a big brother to me for the past 11 years. Unfortunately he’s out in L.A. and due to work commitments, he can’t make it to the wedding.
But it was so sweet of him to still think of us and send something. I actually already knew this was coming because while updating my registry last week, I noticed that this was bought!! Haha, sneaky me.
But it was still exciting nonetheless.
Wedding planning has taken so much of my attention that I almost forgot how much I love my craft time.
Pre-engagement, I used to do all kinds of crafty things: scrapbooking, knitting, stamping and more! Oh free time, how do I miss thee! Well, I attended a friend’s bridal shower a couple weeks ago, so I decided to open my dusty craft supply drawers and make her a card.

Supplies: paper, embossing ink, stamps, embossing powder. Not shown: embellishments and embossing gun (it’s almost like a hair dryer. You can pick one up at Michaels for around $20)

You may not live in Los Angeles, but I’m sure you’ve seen your share of “Team Aniston/Jolie; Paris/Nicole; Nick/Jessica” shirts to last a lifetime. Well, if that’s the case, then please close your eyes and try your best to skip over my post for the rest of the day! ![]()
Long, long ago… back in those early days of the wedding plans, Mr. Lemon passed someone wearing one of these TEAM shirts and wished aloud for our own versions of them for the wedding party. So… skip forward to last week and add some stencils, white paint and some spiffy shirts from Jiffyshirts and his wish was granted and taken to Las Vegas and Palm Springs for the weekend.
Dear Boobs,
It’s time that the nine of us had a talk. For some time now, I’ve been doing my utmost to find dresses that will fit, flatter, and contain you. At first, it didn’t seem like it would be such a daunting task. I mean, yes, you are all very healthy and well-grown. I knew it would take a special kind of fabric, with a certain amount of tensility, to give you the support you need.
But this is getting ridiculous. OK, OK, I admit it. Plan S (strapless) was ill-concieved. I should have known better, considering the things I’ve seen you guys do to tube tops. And that whole keyhole back-lash thing I went through in retaliation…well, I apologize for that. It’s just that, I’ve seen what happens to you with a little exposure. People get distracted. Vases get knocked over. Red lights go ignored.
Anyway, I have a counter offer which I hope you’ll find acceptable. It’s a halter dress from Lynn Lugo:

I have a thing for little boxes. I love them so. Luckily for my wallet, our favor boxes are already purchased, and the beautiful boxes for sale at Romantic Flowers will only be admired from afar. For those of you who still have to get your boxes, here are some great ones by Midori- available at Romantic Flowers.com.
These boxes are going to be available at the end of July, so they are taking pre-orders.
This is a pink and gold cherry blossom pattern. $1.90 per box (which is definitely more than I’d want to spend, but lovely nevertheless) 2″x2″x2″
Because of Mr. Blueberry’s car troubles, we didn’t leave for our minimoon until about 7 pm–meaning we didn’t get to the lake until about 10:30 pm.
We got to the Lodge and checked in, and Mr. Blueberry asked the desk clerk if we could get a free upgrade since it was our honeymoon. We had booked a regular room in the main lodge; he gave us a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo with full kitchen and sunroom that was a couple miles offsite. Talk about an upgrade!
Here are a few pictures I took of the condo, that night:

I’m married now. It still hasn’t completely hit me yet that I’m married. It’s been a little crazy the past couple of days saying goodbye to family and friends. I’m married!!!! Holy moly! I’m married.
Here are some funny teasers. I’ll post pictures once I get them back from F8 next week.
Poor Mr. Apple. I felt bad so I was wiping away all of the chocolate.

Hi Weddingbee readers! I’m absolutely bee-lighted and honored to be part of the hive! Out of all the adorable veggies available, I picked Miss Eggplant because purple is one of my favorite colors (and my head is kind of shaped line an eggplant
). As a veritable veggie-bee, I vow to voice every visionary idea I have with you all!
It would only be proper to introduce myself and Mr. Eggplant before I start blogging away, so I’ll piggyback on Miss Lemon’s entry about similarities and differences:
Similarities:
1. Mr Eggplant and I have similar scholastic interests: Both of us consume anything related to the studies of sociology and psychology and we love writing in our spare time. Mr. Eggplant is a great writer while I only try, but we’re both internet junkies who love to blog. Blame it on being a product of Gen X & Y. ![]()
2. We have the same taste in music. Our first group date involved an intimate concert watching one of our favorite singer-songwriters who is practically unknown. It was a big coincidence that we both owned her album.
3. We both adore romantic comedies. Mr. Eggplant is a true romantic and he will be the first to admit that his favorite movies include Fever Pitch and Jerry Maguire. I don’t have to drag him to watch chick flicks because he suggests them himself.

I love large gable boxes. You don’t have to worry about wrapping tiny corners, they are so easy to assemble and all you need is a pretty ribbon to make your package complete! There’s also so much you could put inside of these boxes. For the labels I added a watermark image of the Liberty Bell and placed our welcome sign in front of the image.
Just when you thought it was going to be another quiet Wednesday…
Announcing our latest addition to the hive, Miss Eggplant! She’s loaded with great ideas and DIY projects, and has a knack for finding smokin’ deals. In fact, I just may apprentice myself to her. Let’s give her a warm fuzzy, buzzy welcome, shall we?
