About Mrs. Blueberry

Post-Wedding Depression

June 2nd, 2007 @ 1:32 pm by Mrs. Blueberry

Despite the title, I’m really not suffering post-wedding depression! Oh, no, I’m suffering post-wedding:

1) Antsy-ness. Any pictures yet? I want pictures! When will I have pictures? There has been a disappointing lack of snapshots from friends and family, and it’ll be at least another week until the pro pics come in.

2) Laziness. Unpacking from the minimoon? Meh, I’ll do it later. Why don’t I just sit and stare at my ring some more? Or practice writing my new name?

3) Disbelief. “Ooh, I must remember to have ___ at the wedding.” Oh. Wait. It’s over. Yippee!!! This leads to…

4) Excitement. NEVER AGAIN (until my at-this-point-nonexistant daughter gets married) will I have to worry about vendor meetings, wedding DIY, or the like.

5) Relaxation. Even though my summer semester starts in just three days, and I have a whole bunch of name changing stuff to screw with, and working on projects for my future Etsy shop, I’m taking a little ’me’ time (me time = sleeping late, blogging, cooking, crocheting at a leisurely pace, and vacuuming (no, really)).

6) Retrospection. I spend *so* much time daydreaming about what I remember from the day. The ceremony, especially (”Why did I spend so much time staring at my bouquet? But wasn’t Mr. Blueberry so *cute*?”). I can’t wait to see the video, so I can see the ceremony as all our guests did.

7) Inspiration and motivation. With this wedding out of the way, I’ve got a whole world at my feet! Once I’m done with laziness and relaxation, I can’t wait to dig in and get to work on my next big projects–launching an Etsy shop, maybe a new blog, decorating a new apartment in a few months, graduating from college, starting my career, getting Mr. Blueberry on his way in law school…so much exciting stuff!

I feel ya Mrs. Blueberry. I am going through all of the above too! Since there really isn’t a deadline like a wedding, enjoy doing it at your own pace.
