Honeymoon in Paradise

June 5th, 2007 @ 8:25 am by Mrs. Peach

I figured you were getting sick of my wedding photos… so here are our pics from the honeymoon! We spent 7 nights at the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Too bad the pictures from the resort website, my previous post, nor the pictures from this post do justice to the beauty of this place! But here ya go anyways~

The cool bracelet we got upon arrival (so much nicer than those platic bands):

For the most part we did three things on our honeymoon:
1) ATE- they had many restaurants/buffets to choose from- all included. amazingly yummy. great service.

sometimes we went classy:

other times, casually:

3) RELAXED and RESTED in our room.
yeah, no pictures for this one. *wink*

Our highlight of the trip: Horseback riding on the beach! We went super fast! It was sooo much fun, but a bit painful on the butt…oh yeah, and don’t wear a tube top when riding. And too bad we had to wear those dorky hats…

We had an AWESOME time! But by the end, we were definitely ready to go home. Mr. Peach and I are truly homebodies. haha. We missed our own bed… and kimchi. I think some people were kind of surprised when we said we had a good time but were eager to come back home. Guess it sounded like we didn’t have much fun. But we really did! We just love our home too. We missed the U. S. of A ^_^

Next on deck: Pew decor template. Sorry this is so late!! I did not forget all of you who have asked me for the template, I promise!

I went to Punta Cana last year in September for vacation with my fiance. I absolutely loved it. So much relaxation!! I think more people need to know what an awesome vacation spot it is. Honestly, it was pretty inexpensive too. We stayed at one of the Riu resorts. I loved it and can’t wait to go back. Your pictures are amazing and I’m sure you had an awesome time!!

i had a question about your honeymoon spot–was the fact that families with children were allowed any trouble? my fiance and i were hoping to go to an adults-only spot, but your resort looks beautiful, so if the presence of kids wasn’t a bother, we might reconsider… thanks!

gabzoots- although it wasn’t an adults only resort, because the place was pretty upscale (i think the average room price is the most expensive in all of DR), we actually came across very few children during our stay. so yeahhh, wasn’t a problem at all!

deesbride- yayyy honeymoon twin~ have lots of fun!

Hi Mrs. Peach -
I’m considering DR too. Any reason why you chose the Punta Cana resort over the other ones that Paradisus has on the island? TIA!

jen- We chose the Paradisus PALMA REAL located in punta cana. this one is much nicer and newer than the Paradisus Punta Cana. as for the other resorts that Paradisus owns, i don’t know much about other than the research i did online through trip advisor… but i’m pretty sure the Palma Real is the nicest. so they claim. haha. the downside: Palma Real is def expensive… but luckily we found an amazing deal through orbitz. ^_^ good luck!!
