Shabby Chic Embellishments

June 6th, 2007 @ 4:39 pm by Mrs. Violet

For those that love shabby chic like I do, these fabulous labels from The Decal Cottage make the perfect embellishment. The shop is filled with decals ranging from Cottage Bath and Paris French to floral; these would really dress up any furniture. I think these would look great on the buffet table, reception table or menu cards for weddings too.

I recently bought a distressed tall flower container from Target. I plan on using it as a garbage bin for our bathroom. Mr. Violet couldn’t understand how I could use a flower container as a garbage bin… (sigh, the differences between an artist and one who’s a computer geek!) Anyway, the container is quite plain and I have been thinking of ways to dress it up. I think this label would definitely dress it up and it’ll match our lavender shower curtains and green bathroom mat.

A great way to dress up table centerpieces or even the reception table if you’re going the shabby chic route.

Flowers, flowers and more flowers…think menu cards, programs, what else?

Sweet little birds to end my shabby chic post…

lol regarding the flower vase as a garbage bin…I have same conversation with my FI!! Like you, I believe that every item has at least one more function that is not created for. :-)
