He proposed exactly 1 year, 1 month and 6 days after our first date (it's the only part of his proposal speech that I remember), and we're planning long-distance from Los Angeles for a July wedding in my hometown of Monterey, CA. Send The Boys To The Links

June 8th, 2007 @ 6:25 pm by Mrs. Lemon

Early on the Friday morning of our wedding weekend, Mr. Lemon will be getting ready for the rehearsal here:

Send The Boys To The Links : wedding groom groomsman los angeles Z925772 z925772

He got his two tee times lined up for his boys (groomsmen who want to play and relatives in town) today, so I’m sure he’ll be making another trip to the driving range soon to practice. It definitely the BIG $$$ splurge for their weekend, but I think the chance to get away and have fun will all be worth it… unless Mr. Lemon gets competitive and thinks he can master the championship course. I’m actually trying to think of some way to send a photographer with them (only if their cost is, well, free)… just for some fun memory shots, since they won’t have any “getting ready” photos on the day of. Hmm…

So who else is sending their guys to the links before the wedding?!?

My fiance is planning a golf tournament for the day before the wedding. Everyone from OOT guests to family and friends are invited to play. I absolutely refused to have it on the day of because those tournaments can go on forever.

It’s Spyglass Hil… which is in Pebble Beach… but not “the” Pebble Beach Golf Links. They’re spending a lot for the course, but no one was up for the $500+/person for Pebble.

My dad has been looking forward to the day-before big golf game since the moment we said we were engaged. He’s already talked to FI and FI’s friends and he’s probably day-dreaming about it every day. Even though not all of FIs friends play golf I think they can all go and have a boys’ day. Dad is so happy to be gaining a son — 2 daughters and 4 sisters leaves him with few guy-events.

Cool! We were just in Monterey this past weekend. FH will be golfing at our wedding venue (even though the coordinator said it was impossible, because the course is members-only - HA!) the day before the wedding with his father and my great-uncle. They’re all pretty excited about it, which I think is very cute.

There will definitely be some sort of golf outing in the days before the wedding. I think my fiance and father will have to keep it a secret if they want to do male bonding, otherwise they know I will crash and tag along!
