For our Chinese wedding banquet, one month after our wedding, I will be wearing my wedding dress (again! yay!), my cheongsam, and now…this!
It was way way on sale at Bloomingdales, but they only had this one, which (even though you can’t really tell in these pics) was huge on me, so they’re shipping one in my size to me from another store! Yay!
I had such a hard time searching for evening gowns since everything that seemed sufficiently formal seemed very not me, and everything I liked wasn’t formal enough! This seems like a perfect balance though, and, even though I didn’t set out to do it - it perfectly matches my invite colors! I have definitely gotten into the “everything in my colors” mode lately…our sheets we registered for (and were given, yay!), random t-shirts, a bathing suit….
Anyway, for those of you picking extra dresses (either for a banquet, or if you’re changing for your reception) how did that process compare with choosing an actual wedding dress? I was much less emotional this time around, but I still felt that it was very important to get it “right,” in a way that I don’t about normal clothes purchases.
