CBeth’s Storyboard

sweetweddingmoodboard.jpg

Hey Weddingbees! Here is my mood board for you. My fiance and I picked five words we wanted our wedding style to portray: Sweet, Vintage, Charming, Unique, Relaxed. Our ceremony will take place in a state park garden, and the reception is in the Officer’s Club at a historic armory, both in St. Augustine, Florida.

Top Left: My dress! I fell in love with the forties style top, and am having it altered to be more of a mermaid fit for a little bit of sweet Vintage Hollywood style!

Top Middle: Birds from Ann Wood. I’m working on making my own–there will be two in front of a birdhouse on each table.

Top Right: French net veil. I purchased two different kinds and am working on my own creation.

Middle Left: We’ll be serving limeade, sweet tea, and water in big infusion jars similar to this one.

Middle: Our monogram and colors: Coral-Pink, Apple Green, and Chocolate Brown. I’ve also begun using a warm, sunny yellow as an accent color.

Middle Right: Our reception venue will be dotted with clusters of Martha Stewart’s tissue paper poms.

Lower Left: One of my main flowers is the spider mum, with its big clusters of happy petals.

Lower Middle: Bridesmaid’s dresses from J. Crew. My girls are already wishing they could wear them!

Lower Rigth: I’ll be walking down the “aisle” of this rose garden in a gorgeous park near the ocean in St. Augustine.

Looks absolutely fabulous! Great picks!

The “picking five words” you would like you wedding to reflect is a great idea.

I loooooooooove Ann Wood’s birds!! (Have you seen her delightful wedding cake toppers? — http://www.annwoodhandmade.com/shop.html) Recognized them instantly on your wonderful mood board.

Would love to see how your birds turn out!

I’m using the limeade idea for my country-style outdoor wedding. A couple questions:
1) where do you plan to purchase the infusion jars?
2) any idea how you will create the label/band (if you are using one). I wanted to put guest’s names on the glasses but it looks a bit tricky to rig up.
Excellent mood board btw!

MCRbride–I loved Lisa Wong’s wedding! She’s really inspired me right from the beginning.

Mary–it’s actually a Watters & Watters bridesmaids dress and only cost $202 from netbride!

Tara–Her cake toppers are darling, and I’m definitely going to try to make a similar one. I wish I were rich so I could just buy everything she’s ever made!

Dani–I’m borrowing all three of the infusion jars, but I would check target or bed bath and beyond. They usually carry them in the summertime. I’m going to make the sign exactly the way Lisa did: two slits in a piece of cardstock and a ribbon running around it. I’ll probably use double stick tape or just tie a knot in the back.

Libby–Glad to see you’re on wedding bee! I need to go over to the knot again and see how you’re doing. It’s getting closer! :)
