Yosemite… Our Final Glimpse

June 11th, 2007 @ 8:28 am by Mrs. Plumeria

Since we were heading to Disneyworld after Yosemite, our stay there was a relatively short one. Our third day at Yosemite was our last, but we made the best of it. On our way out of the park in the afternoon, we first went to Bridalveil Falls. We thought it most appropriate to take a picture in front of this one! :) The fall is so named because its water breaks apart as it plummets, turning the base of it into a wet, misty area.

Afterwards, we drove up Glacier Point road, which is open only seasonally, and were greeted with the perfect view. We enjoyed our bag lunches surounded by the breathtaking beauty of the valley.

The air was clear and we could even see our hotel from way up there:

Can you spot it again in the picture below?

And another glimpse of Vernal Falls (lower left), as well as Nevada Falls (right).

Yosemite is so gorgeous. We used to go up there every summer for vacation (and in the winter to ski at Badger Pass!) Nothing beats Yosemite. I’m glad you had such a wonderful time!
