Here are a couple of pictures from our super fun Buck and Doe last Saturday.

This is how you open a beer at a farm party…

… and this is how much foam you end up with afterwards.

This is Mr. Pumpkin’s childhood best friend and the chef for our rehearsal dinner! He owns a fantastic restaurant called Mojo in Regina where our rehearsal dinner will be held. I swear… he’s perfectly normal.

If you look back on some of my posts you will get a bit more info but yes, a buck & doe is a combined party for the bride & groom. There are different traditions in different regions. They are not common where I live but my MOH is from Ontario and she has grown up with buck & doe parties so she and our BM threw us one. Soooo much fun!

Hi Joyful!
Our shirts were pretty funny - mostly at Mr. Pumpkin’s expense. My shirt had a photoshopped picture of me and Eddie Vedder and it said, “This was my first choice” and then the back of my shirt said, “but this is what I settled for” with a picture of Mr. Pumpkin. Mr. P’s shirt had a nice pic of the two of us on the front and said, “This is my first choice” and then on the back it had a picture of Cam Neely (Mr. P’s favorite hockey player) and it said, “but I would have settled for this”. Funny stuff but poor Mr. P, hey? He took it well - such a good sport.
