I Don’t Get It

June 13th, 2007 @ 12:26 pm by Mrs. Emerald

My super-busy-out-of-towner Matron of Honor (she lives in New Orleans) called me over the weekend to discuss a few logistics for my upcoming Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Party (both on the same night). She gave me some bizarre instructions related to my bachelorette party outfit. Her exact words were,

“Do NOT wear a dress. Anything else is fine - a skirt, pants, jeans, whatever. Just make sure you have a separate top and bottom.”

confuse01clueleswtf01 Say WHAT?! What the heck are we doing and why is a skirt better than a dress?! The only thing that came to mind is that they are going to make me go topless, but geez, I would like to think that my friends love me at least a little!!

Sooo… open forum here, your guesses are as good as mine. WHAT kind of bachelorette party activity requires a 2-piece outfit?

maybe they are making you a special t-shirt so it’s easier to just take off what you have instead of wearing it over a dress?

my guess is that she already has a top for you to wear…hopefully with something really embarrassing written on it :)

Or strip poker, and she’s making sure you have more than 3 items of clothing on.

I think they have a shirt for you too. But if you plan on wearing a skirt just to play it safe pack jeans along for the night. :)

Hahaha… Am I the only one that’s been to a bachelorette party with a male stripper???!!! Let’s just say having a top on allows for “easy access”

hummm…i think they made a “to do” tank top for you to wear! for my friend’s bach party, we had a check list of things she had to do on her tank top (ie. body shot, get a guy’s phone #, etc) and after she accomplished a task, we’d check off that box. so fun (for us), so embarassing (for her). :P

We went to a male revue for my friend’s bachlorette and she wore a skirt (not knowing where she was going). The male strippers did their usual dry humping and desided to flip her skirt up. So there she is..in her thongs…hanging out for all the see. Your friends may have the foresight to spare you the embarassment so don’t be worried!

Oh dear, I hope they adhere to my insistence of NO strippers, cuz I think male strippers are kinda gross and SO cheesy (but thats just my personal opinion). Of course, if thats the route they decide to take, then I will be a good sport about it, haha. I just know that my MOH wants payback for getting her super trashed at HER bach party 2 years ago. She’s calling for “revenge”, uh oh.

I hope this is as simple as a cute shirt. But if thats the case, I’m better off wearing jeans, cuz a t-shirt/tank top may look weird w/some skirts.

Sounds like they are either going to make guys do shots out of your belly button (gross) or do suck for a buck from your waist.

Either way, it might be a good idea to wear full granny panties, something that dries quickly, and bring anti-bacterial wipes!

Goodluck! :)

Maybe they’re going to have you partake in a pole dancing / strip tease class where you take off your top?

Or they want to be able to give you a wedgie?

um … strip poker? strip twister? strip trivial pursuit? One wrong answer and you’re naked with a dress!

What about riding a mechanical bull at Hogs n Honeys? That place is a total bachelorette party hot spot and riding a mechanical bull with a dress on would be bad news. Umm… I hope it is the t-shirt thing!
