We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

T-shirts For All

June 13th, 2007 @ 11:12 am by Mrs. Kiwi

Did you just see that pig fly by? Yep, I’m buying (literally) into the hoopla that is wedding apparel. Hey, when else am I going to be able to wear a “just married” shirt? It all began when Mr. Kiwi decided he wanted a “Game Over” shirt–complete with the smiling bride and the frowning groom.

So, while I was searching for one in 3XL (I don’t want it to be too tight, and he’s a big guy), I found some other relatively non-cheesy shirts. Okay, maybe a little cheesy. Still, I have to tell you–if anything is going to get us a room upgrade in Vegas, it’ll be a “Just Married!!!” t-shirt!

So, here is a shirt I liked for Mr. Kiwi. I found these shirts at Cafepress.com. It’s cool because the shirt is available in a ton of other colors, cheaper materials and more expensive materials (like organic cotton), and various styles. No, Mr. Kiwi is not getting a muscle-t.

In the same vein as the “your life is over” t-shirt, here is another beaut.

As much as I want him to wear this, he would never. Also available in Bride.

Yes, this is so cheese it’s a souffle, but Mr. Kiwi’s name is Paul.

Okay, he is TOTALLY getting this one.

Since I’m really looking to notify everyone involved that we’re married (aka: give us free stuff/upgrades!), I’m getting one of these. It’s the least insulting one out there, and… also available in maternity! AWESOME. z932684

So yeah, I’m buying into the hype. It’s okay, though, I need something to sleep in. happy02

Its ok I bought into the hype. I was and still am really against bride shirts (for myself, I actually think they are cute on others) but I did buy him the game over shirt and gave it to him after he came back from his last vacation as a single man. He loved it! He thought is was so funny and cannot wait to wear it once we are a little closer to the wedding. Now that said i am still not buying a bride shirt for myself, because like you said when can I wear it again. But his game over shirt can be worn for a long him, ha ha ha ha ha.

How cute! We’re also getting some shirts from cafe press, but we’re custom designing ours - I can’t believe how cheap their prices are for custom made shirts! (Like $15 each plus shipping!)
