Burn Out Revisited

June 13th, 2007 @ 2:16 pm by Mrs. Pearl

Thanks to all the readers who commented about my wedding burn out. I took all your advice to heart and as such, I’ve actually made some progress! Of the things I complained about, I’ve done the following:

1. Address invitation envelopes and mail them out — OK, I haven’t mailed them yet because I’m waiting from my stamps from USPS.com. Ummm…don’t you guys like, RUN the postal service?!?! What’s taking so long?!?! But I have finished addressing the invitation envelopes. 2. Finalize cake details — I set up a cake tasting that both Mr. Pearl and I attended. We have now decided to go with a baker instead of using the hotel and have hammered out the change for our menu. This was probably the most fun part. Cake = yummy!

3. Create and print menus — not looking forward to this part, but I still have a while. Thank God.

4. Finish creating and printing programs — I’ve finished the editing, but I’m not ready to print. I have, however, enlisted the help of my bridesmaid in the assembly process and all it will cost me is maybe some wine. This is where my Cambria Wine Club membership comes in handy!

5. Dress fittings — I had my first dress fitting on Saturday! Well, it wasn’t an official fitting since the dress *just* came in, but I went to try it on and see how it fit. I’ll update you readers with more info on this later :) My first fitting is scheduled for June 29.

6. Buy a veil — Can’t be done until my first fitting, but I already know what I want, so how hard could it be?

Again, thanks to all the Weddingbee readers who talked me down from the ledge with my burn out. Sometimes I wonder if I don’t get more help from you fabulous readers than you actually get from me. But I love you for it all the same. Burn Out Revisited : wedding los angeles Happy010 happy010

I’m still waiting on stamps from USPS to arrive (helloo…. via MAIL) too! It’s been over a week, I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong. So it’s (slightly) encouraging to hear that someone else is waiting on the POSTAL SERVICE to get around to mailing their stamps to them too!
