Bridesmaid Fittings

June 14th, 2007 @ 3:10 pm by Mrs. Plum

Pre-hemming and pre-any actual alterations…. yay!

I can actually start to picture my wedding day now that I see the bridesmaids in their gowns… 2 more weeks!

(these two are the ones that need the most alterations - the ones who happen to be like negative size 5’s (the dresses they ordered came in size 0 but were still too large).

Just for reference again, these dresses are Saeyoung Vu style Marysol - long in the chestnut brown dupioni silk.

front with sash - we will be doing a single loop and it will only be 1/2 as thick as this one

And just for comparison: with and without sashes.

(of course they will be wearing the proper undergarments, different accessories, have makeup on, and have their hair done on the day of - lol.)

I think the smaller sash you mention will be nicely proportioned for ladies so petite.

Holy FABULOUS! Those are awesome dresses. Who needs the makeup, hair done, proper undergarments, etc - they already look pretty darn great! You’re wedding is going to be so beautiful!

I think the sash adds a LOT to the dress. Definitely ties (hehe…) it all together!

We have to have a lot of alterations done on one of our BM dresses. From a misses size 2 (the smallest it came) to a children’s size 10!

definitely with sash. but not too long, and omit that loop on the top, it looks funny. just a simple know (sans bow, loop) would be perfect.

your bm’s are so tiny! i agree with nhung. the top loop is a bit distracting.

what’s below a size 0?!?!? my goodness…. my only concern is that these bridesmaids dresses are TOO gorgeous…. If you dyed these bridesmaids dresses white — it would make a terrific wedding gown! In fact, I think these dresses are even nicer than wedding GOWNS that I’ve seen! You want everyone looking at you, yes? hehe… I mean, that’s me being selfish here, but gosh darnit — this is the 1 day in our whole lives that we are allowed to be selfish!

I don’t know what your gown looks like, I just hope it overrides these beautiful dresses! (at least it’s white!)

I don’t even know what’s below a 0 - these chicks need to gain some weight! That’s what i’m sayin’. :)

My wedding gown can be seen in the portrait behind the girls on the wall :) I’m pretty sure i’ll still look like the bride that day hehe.
