He proposed after dating just two months - crazy, I know, but 2 years later, here we are, still crazy in love :-). We are having not one, but TWO weddings and TWO receptions in one weekend - American-style and Vietnamese-style - in Dallas, Texas, where I was born and raised!

Finalized cake design and paid remaining balance to Bakery.

Woot!

If ya’ll remember, my cake will be a 4-tier blue and chocolate brown replica of this cake by Lovin’ Sullivan Cakes and featured in InStyle Weddings magazine. Mine will also have 2 blown glass birds for toppers.

oh my goodness! i found that picture a few months ago and fell in love…. i’m designing our whole wedding around that motif, (but in blue and white) even custom stationery. can’t wait to see how yours turns out!

Amy and Miss Plum, do you both realise where that design has come from? It’s a knock-off of a Tord Boontje, a ceramics designer from Scandinavia? Check out his designs at http://www.tordboontje.com/ or at http://www.designmuseum.org shop (in the Living Section). He does platters, bowls and plates in that design in white and red and blue and red and if you’re into it, you could design your whole wedding around it.
