One Heck Of An Equation

One Heck Of An Equation : wedding countdown los angeles Z945158 z945158
Graduation….. check.
Moving out of apartment… almost a check.
Getting married…. only 17 days away?!!?!?!?!??!?!?!!?

Somehow I really thought getting married three weeks after graduation wouldn’t be “that” crazy… and once again I completely underestimated the strain and P.I.T.A. moving out of an apartment can be. (You’d think I’d remember with 10+ moves in 9 years.)

I walked across the stage on Friday morning, have moved most of the contents of my life into either a storage unit or into Mr. Lemon’s apartment, and now am sitting in “our” apartment and trying to figure out how not to have an extreme stress freakout with the list of things that still needs to get done. Add to that, poor Miss Memphis (soon to be 1/2-mine) has woken us up the last two nights at 3am with some tummy problem, so the vet appointment is now bumped up in priority on the agenda for today.

(looking cute and furry and not sick in this photo)

We’re in for a wild ride for the next 2 weeks…. anyone else contemplating an agenda similar to mine, you’ve been warned.

Yikes - you sure have a lot on your plate! The good news is that grad and moving are out of the way, so you can just focus on the wedding now. Breathe, make a list, delegate what you can to others, and just start getting through items on the list. It’ll sure feel great to cross each one off as it gets done :)

Sending get well soon wishes to poor Miss Memphis :( It hurts my heart when my little puppy Sierra is hurt or sick so I know how stressful that can be.

This sounds like my schedule!

I’m taking the hardest class of my major this summer and it ends 15 days before the wedding. Two days after it ends, my FI is moving apartments. Then, I have to move most of my stuff in with him as well. Then, the wedding! I’m already regretting my schedule and I’m still 52 days out!

I hear you. I completely underestimated moving as well! Not only do I have to move out of my place, but FI has to move out of his current home to our new future home…I’ve been packing for three weeks and we’re STILL packing.

Good luck! =)

Aww, hug Ms. Memphis for me! She’s a doll.

Would you recomend the same type schedule to other bride-to-bes? I’m looking at the same type of situation down the road with my BF, and we’re not sure how soon after I graduate the wedding is going to be. He’ll (hopefully) have a job and be settled by then, so I’d be the only one moving.

What?!?! I thought it was 18 days! You’ve robbed me of a day! ;-)

CUTE dog. I want a dog so bad but while we’re renting…not allowed OR necessary, IMO. ;-)

I hear you I just graduating in Mechanical Engineering and the wedding is next weekend! It was much harder than I thought because I had to add on some classes in order to graduate thanks to some new rules so I had 8 classes this semester!

Good luck from one busy bride to the next.
