Bee Our Guest…

June 25th, 2007 @ 1:56 pm by Mrs. Jelly Beans

I finally got around to taking pictures of our invitations.

MJB Disclaimer: Warning. Excessive amount of images ahead. May cause bridal overload.

I mailed the invitations in different shifts, alternating between 2 post office locations, so that the post office people wouldn’t think I’m crazy for spending so much in shipping. Yes, I admit, I care what the post office people think of me! :P

Details:

Light Pink Box
Box Design- embossed in silver and accented with tiny, “sparkly” crystals
Text- brown thermography
Fonts- Bickham Script Fancy, Beautiful ES, Garamond
Removable main invitation
Our monogram on the 1st page
“Live, Laugh, Love” quote on the 2nd page
Light pink Corner scrolls accented with 2 crystals
Back of main invite has the pink main design, wall paper style
RSVP card and Reception card have same main design, but horizontally

Pre-shipping dilemma:

The Miss Jelly Bean angel (who is probably on Mr. Jelly Bean’s payroll) on my left shoulder told me not to spend any more money on the invitations, however the evil but reputable nemesis Miss Jelly Smelly Bean on my right shoulder had some really convincing arguments supported by evidence-based research. Guess who won? :P

So I measured the box, purchased the vellum, scored the sides and tadaaaaaa! Instant packaging! I also tied everything together with a light pink satin, single-faced ribbon (see, I do try and save money, they sooo could have been double-faced)!

Now how in the world, Carmen San Diego, will I ship them? :)

I purchased white gift boxes from Pritchard Packaging Inc. and ordered pink labels from OnlineLabels. They have tons of different shapes and sizes and I found them quite affordable. I printed all the labels on my ink jet printer. Finally, I sealed the boxes with a clear, circular sticker.

After having spent almost 12 months from production to shipment, it was a little bittersweet parting with them. Now I have to send them out into the real world to fend for themselves in the Canadian Postal System. Au revoir my babies!

Wow…There are no words for these invitations. My pocketfolds seem pathetic next to your boxed invitations. I only spent about 3 months on mine. Wow…So purty…I wonder if it’s too late to do mine over again? :)
