Introducing Miss Radish!

June 25th, 2007 @ 1:22 pm by Mrs. Bee

Last week you met Miss Butterscotch and Miss Jelly Beans.  Today we’re super happy to welcome Miss Radish!

Miss Radish, Chicago/Syracuse
Age and Occupation:
27, Executive Assistant
Fiance’s Age and Occupation: 28, Anthropologist
Engagement Date: December 20, 2005
Wedding Date: August 2007
Venue: The Wellington House in Fayetteville, NY
About Me: I’m definitely not the kind of girl that dreamed about my wedding day for years. In fact I never even really thought about getting married until I got engaged!  But now here I am caught up in the whirlwind of wedding planning and, to my surprise, I’m actually having a lot of fun doing it.   Mr. Radish and I are both from upstate New York, so we are planning a wedding in Syracuse from about 700 miles away, which has been a bit of a challenge but I think we’ll manage to pull it off.

We met almost six years ago through common friends and we’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since. We were “just friends” for a few months, and I almost wasn’t going to date him because I’m a hair taller than him, but I had a crush on him anyway and eventually gave in. I’m glad I got over such a dumb hang-up because he is totally adorable and a great guy overall.

When I’m not obsessing about our wedding I play the cello in my band (which Mr. Radish is in too), read as much as I can, sleep even more, travel whenever possible, and try to find time to have fun with my friends. I’m also working on finishing up my journalism degree with a concentration in environmental reporting and I’m the VP of my campus Amnesty International chapter… so I’m a pretty busy bee.

Miss Emerald - yes, I currently live in Chicago, but we are having the wedding in NY. Are we the only Chicago bees on here?
