An excerpt from a groomsman conversation today
GM: OMG I can’t be a groomsman anymore -I don’t want to be in front of all those people bc I haven’t had enough time to work out yet!
Groom: Seriously?
GM: OMG YEAHHH - Everyone’s gonna be looking at me! I need to look good - I might back out if I don’t lose 5 lbs by the end of the week. I’m going to hit the gym every night this week.
Apparently, weddings are about different things to different people.

miss plum, i think you need to remind groomsman that all eyes will be on YOU the bride 
LOL, please kindly let him know that no one cares about his 5 lbs when the everyone’s attention will be on you. In fact, he’s probably last in line next to your groom, bridesmaids, flower girls, ringbearer, officiant, etc…….so funny..
Totally agree with Didi. I’ve NEVER been to a wedding where ANYONE has EVER said “geez, that GM looks a little chubby!”
Lol, that’s hilarious. But I’d still kill him if he backed out at the last minute like that. GRRRR!

wish people would realize the wedding is not about them but about the bride and groom.
I actually don’t think it’s an issue of the GM thinking it’s ‘all about him’. He probably was just feeling self conscious and was hoping to lose a few pounds before he was going to be in pictures that people would look at for years to come. I think that’s perfectly normal. I’ve even felt that way as a guest some times - like wow, I wish I got a cute haircut before seeing all these old friends I haven’t seen in a while. I don’t think he’d seriously back out - he just needs some reassurance that he looks great and no matter what he looked like you’d want him in the wedding.
haha That was hilarious! You should kindly remind him that although he may be wearing 5 extra lbs, at least he’ll be in a tux/suit that covers all of him up!
one of my MOH’s parents are invited to our wedding and they weren’t sure if they were going to bring a camera. they said to her, what will they take pics of? and she said “of me (of her) walking down the aisle of course (she was joking)!” hahahhaah. guess it’s all about her special day.

Lol, I’m in my cousin’s wedding in just over 3 weeks (omg I have to get my dress altered!) and I wanted to lose some weight by then. I don’t think I’ve lost much, which is part of the reason that I’ve delayed getting my dress taken in. I guess I don’t have time to delay any longer!
