It’s 4:30 am and I am WIDE AWAKE. I have no idea why. I’m supposed to leave with my bridesmaids in just a few hours for our hair/makeup appointment in SF, so I need the sleep and not the baggy eyes! But here I am, blogging. I guess I’m just too excited. 
Yesterday evening, Mr.Tomato was making mysterious comments, such as:
“So, I read on Weddingbee that traditionally the bride/groom give each other gifts…”
My answer: Um, yes.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
My answer: Um, because you’ll never need cufflinks and you already have a nice watch? (But actually, part of the reason I never mentioned the possibility was because Mr.Tomato gets REALLY stressed out when it comes to buying gifts for me…so I figured I’d spare him money AND pain…plus we are getting married and that’s the best gift of all! I know I know, complete cheese. 
)
“So when would the bride/groom traditionally give each other these gifts?”
My answer: Um, usually sometime before the ceremony?
Mr.Tomato: Oh really? So like, sometime before you leave at 7:30am tomorrow?
My answer: Yeah.
An hour later, I was in the bathroom when I came out, opened the door, and…
I literally screamed as Mr. Tomato flashed a camera in my face.
Certainly not the most flattering picture, but that was how big my smile was at the moment I rushed to hug Mr.Tomato. 
I eagerly (but slooowwwwly) opened the blue box. The box is so iconic that my heart started beating a little faster just by holding it. I slowly opened the blue pouch. Inside was…

I had mentioned how cute it was to Mr. Tomato when we had browsed a Tiffany’s store many months ago. Then I hinted. Apparently he got the message. 
It’s especially touching because I’m sure if Mr. Tomato had the choice, he would have gotten me a Nintendo DS game or something. He’s never bought me anything from Tiffany’s before! So it’s very exciting and though I won’t be wearing it during the wedding ceremony/reception today, I’ll definitely be wearing it as an everyday necklace afterwards.
Okay, time to nap for a couple more hours!

We literally had the same conversation in the exact same words EXCEPT instead of me getting something we ended with:
Fiance: I don’t need anything.
Me: Yeah, me neither.
Fiance: No presents?
Me: Deal.
I wear my bean everyday! You’ll love it!
I also got my gift from my groom early. I got a sexy new bike 
I also have an elsa peretti necklace that I wear daily. I have the apple. my aunt gave it to me.
How cute!! I got my gift about 2 weeks before the wedding: the new Palm Treo 755p I had been wanting! I gave my husband his gift (a new watch he wanted) when we did our first sight before pictures. It was a nice, quiet moment that we were able to spend together, and I’m so glad we chose to do it that way.

Aww..isn’t it the cutest thing, to know your FI actually went into a Tiffany’s store to pick it out? My bf got me a Tiffany’s necklace for our first Valentine’s day and the part that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside is picturing him inside the store…so cute! He is totally not the type to be seen inside a Tiffany’s store.
I love the bean…I wear mine all the time! Yay for the blue box! Our first engagement gift was from Tiffany’s and it came in the world’s largest blue box. I refuse to throw it away!
