About Mrs. Snow Pea

…she’ll want a glass of milk.

I need to be kept contained. Give me an idea and I lose total control of myself. Dr. Phil calls it anxiety. I like to call it a fertile mind. Mr. Snow Pea’s mama told me to include a Thank You note in our OOT bags for the hotel room. Hmmm whateva09 Okay. Miss Snow Pea wanders around the streets of Manhattan and finds NYC postcards. Hey, this will work! Just write a thank you note on the back of this postcard! How neat! Good job Snow Pea. (Pats self on her turgid and crisp back) Snow Pea begins hand writing all the Thank You postcards and cursing the day OOT bags were invented, when she decides they need a lil somethin’ extra. Just a pinch of essence.

AND BAM!

Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes

I found a stamp border background online. I thought I had a stamp border font on my computer, but I can’t seem to find it now that I need it. Figures! The font for the “41C” and “LOVE” is called Castellar. I used one of our photos from our engagement photo session. Then I printed them on glossy photo paper from Staples and stuck it down to the postcard with some glue dots. The photo will go in the corner as though it were a real stamp. Each “stamp” is 1″ x 1.25″.

Very cute!

But I’m confused, is this to supplement the thank you note that you’ll send after the wedding (for gift and/or attendance) or to replace it?

–to warn you, I will be very disapproving if you say its the latter. :P

CS-Oh no no. It’s for the Out of Town Bags or welcome bags that I am putting in each hotel room for guests coming to the wedding from out of town. In the bag are goodies and treats, water, pretzels and a little thank you note. That’s the NYC post card in keeping with the NYC theme.

Love the post card idea. We are going to use them as part of wedding wishes. Where did you find the ones for 20/$1 or the ones you got for 10/$1. That is a great deal.

I got them on the corner of 5th Ave and either 31st or 33rd. It’s a store right on the corner with a 20/99C sign.

Don’t want to burst your bubble, but postcard stamps aren’t 41 cents unless you have a larger-than-average postcard. USPS says that they are 26 cents. BUT this is just me being anal retentive, so don’t stress about it. Beautiful, creative idea. :)
