An Excuse To Buy Another Dress

July 11th, 2007 @ 6:52 pm by Mrs. Radish

I just love Anthropologie dresses but since I’m normally a pretty casual dresser, I could never justify spending that much money on a dress… until now! I need to have something to wear for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, right? It was on sale, at least. Honestly, it probably wasn’t really necessary to buy a new dress (don’t tell Mr. Radish!) but I couldn’t help myself. I have to go to a friend’s wedding in September, so I guess I could wear it again for that.

I also have these Kenzie shoes that I haven’t worn yet (also from Anthropologie… I’m addicted!) and I think they might work with this dress, no? It’s kind of a bad picture of them, but they are cute in real life.

The only thing I’m not sure about is if the dress is showing a little too much cleavage (not that I really have any). There will be a lot of older, more conservative people around that night so I don’t want to look like some kind of harlot. I guess I could wear some kind of camisole underneath if I feel uncomfortable.  What do you think?

No camisole, how about a light cardigan?

I think it looks great, no cleavage problems in my opinion but if you feel unsure I would throw on a light cardigan as harugirlie suggested.

I don’t think there’s any cleavage problems–you look great!

I think the shoes should be ok!

I agree, no camisole needed. Maybe just bring one if it makes you feel better. I can totally understand that!

I don’t think the cleavage is offensive at all. Even to an older crowd!

I love anthropolgie too! It’s such an addiction! The sale’s are always the way to go! Very cute dress!

I love that dress, I tried to talk a friend into getting it for my wedding, but then we realized she had *too* much cleavage for it. A small, light cardigan–the sort of thing that Anthropologie does well (hey, I’m just sayin’!)–would both cover up some skin, look cute, and be warm in AC, if needed.

I agree, I think the dress is fine, but a cardigan will also work.

White House Black Market has ah-dorable little shrugs in right now. I just got two, one of each color!!! The white would look great with those shoes!

No cami, as the rest state….and I wouldn’t go with a cardigan, except if it may be chilly. Show some skin and cleavage! It’s your night before night! I think the dress looks fabulous on you! And I like the shoes, but a full shot would give a better idea of how it looks with the dress~

BTW, thanks for the link to Anthropologie! I’m drooling over the Soft focus dress, but its WAY out of my PRICE range, not to mention I already have a rehearsal dinner dress.

But, its so beautiful…….why can’t it be on SALE! I even scanned ebay for a ripoff, but no luck…

Where’s my comment?

Anyways, no cam, like everyone else has stated. I also think that a cardigan might take away from the dress unless ya know its chilly that night. But, if it makes you more comfortable then take one just in case!

I would also like to thank you for giving me the link to Anthropologie! I’m in PAIN now, as I browsed their dresses and found their soft focus dress! So me!!! AHHH!! But out of my PRICE RANGE and not to mention I have a dress for the rehearsal dinner! So what’s a girl to do…..

But again, the dress is beautiful!! I like the shoes too, but its hard to tell how they look with the dress without a full shot….

do not wear a cami, for the longest time i was shy about showing a little bit of cleavage (i have a similar body type to yours) and trust me, it looks totally fine (even around parents). You look great, nice dress!

I agree with karebearlbc. A few weeks ago I picked up a pair of gray capris for 9 dollars and change, but was originally 80 dollars! I love that store.

I’m not a fan of the shoes with that dress. I love the shoes but they seem to make the dress too casual. I agree with everyone else no cami; a cardigan would be perfect.
