About Mrs. Blueberry

Details, Details

July 11th, 2007 @ 3:38 pm by Mrs. Blueberry

We tried to incorporate the St Louis Cardinals into our wedding in a subtle way.  We’re both fans–one of our first dates was to a Cards game, and they’ve been near and dear to me ever since. smiley1036

Until I discovered my garter, I’d planned on creating some sort of Cardinals garter. But in the end, we only ended up incorporating them in one way:

Hmm…maybe more of a close-up would help:

Yes, that’s the same font that we used on all our stationery. smiley5011 Programs, invites, you name it. It was all in that font!

Unfortunately, I don’t think any of our guests noticed–or if they did, they didn’t mention it to us. But it still makes me happy!

I feel the same way. Most of our guest didnt realize our invites were done by yours truely until I mentioned it. They all thought I had them professional done. They didnt realize how I actually put some thought into which font I liked. Oh well…

It’s a good thing you didn’t do the garter. I tried to get this great red sox garter, in honor of my boston obsessed husband, and I paied about $52, and never received the garter! I have filed a complaint with AMEX and they in turn contacted paypal, but I was not happy with this company at all! Plus, they never returned my emails and no phone number was listed on the site. I should’ve known better.

I’m hoping to make it down to Kiener Plaza for photos on the big day. We’ll see if I make it!

I am a HUGE Cards fan, but my fiance is not such a huge fan — yet. But he is getting there… he will watch a game with me. I’m not incorporating the Cardinals into my wedding day, but our children WILL be outfitted in Cards onesies, etc. — once a pregnancy is announced, they are always given as gifts in my family.

so cute! half the fun of being a hands-on bride and planning these little details is knowing that you’ve put “love” into the little things of your wedding– and incorporated memories into your wedding. congrats, great idea!
