…SNOW PEA! (It was just too cheesy to pass up!)
This is a project that I was waiting foreverrr to do; since before we were engaged. As an addition to the OOT bags, I included some useful information, i.e., maps, affordable places to eat, wedding itinerary. Most people (me included) forget to bring the invitation or the map with them on the day of the wedding and need a quick reference. For convenience, I included all this information in one small booklet in the form of a Playbill.

I made it in Photoshop. The dimensions are 5.5″x8.5″ at 200 dpi. I created each “page” as its own separate file and saved it as a jpg when I was done. Then I copied and pasted each page to M. Word in booklet format (similar to the wedding programs). This took a lot of work, time and patience. The “PLAYBILL” is literally a playbill font I found online for free. I just drew a yellow box, placed the text over it, then slapped one of our black and white engagement pictures on it since most Playbills have simple black and white covers. In white, I typed the “Welcome to A and K’s wedding!” similar to the off broadway show Tony and Tina’s wedding.
As the centerfold, I typed a short bio on each person in the wedding party just as a real Playbill has a bio on all the performers in the show. It was just for fun, but I find many guests like to ask who each person is in relation to the bride and groom. This was truly a labor of love.

Map: We have a lot of OOT guests who are unfamiliar with NYC. Some of them are arriving early to sightsee, so this map was perfect. On the map, all the museums, shops and major sites are tagged. I also included a small list of places to eat, nearest drug store, post office, and a phone list.

The phone list includes everyone in the wedding party, everyone staying in the hotel, their hotel room numbers, and their relationship to us. I also included the cell numbers of spouses because more than likely my MOH will be with me that day. It will be her hubby that has to run back to the hotel to do something or grab something we forgot. Am I prepared enough?
Last, but not least, while I was on the train commuting back and forth to NYC for wedding errands, I saw the Broadway show ads at the train station. I thought it would be kewl to include them as “ads” in the back of my playbill as well. They all have some kind of theme or relationship to us. So far, I have Mamma Mia (I intentionally pasted my face on it without blending it in). The other poster that I am looking for is the new GREASE ad that has Laura Osnes and Max Crumm from the reality show on it. It says “You’re the one that I want!” I wanted to paste our faces on that too, but I can’t find the poster online. Help, anyone?

What other information are you including for your OOT guests?
