Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Dress For Less, Kids

July 12th, 2007 @ 6:34 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

My cousin Karen just sent me a link she had found in one of her parenting magazines. She’s the mother of our flower girl, as well as a fan of Weddingbee. The site is called Gagas, and rents formalwear for children!

For instance, you can rent a dress for three weeks for a small amount. I’ve never seen this site before, so I don’t know if it’s a sale or not, but this dress here, is totally cute for a chocolate brown reception, and only $24.99.

This dress? $44.99 for a three week rental.

Oh my gosh, baby suit! This little suit is available for a three week rental for only $18.99.

As well as various suits, tuxes and coats, they have… rompers!! Say hello, sailor! $15.99. Mr. Kiwi would kill me if I tried to get our little guy to wear this!

The site also has various coats, wraps, ties, and accessories for any possible combination. Pretty cool, huh?

The second dress is so cute! Renting a flower girl’s dress is a great idea!

i thought about those… but at the same time, if you live in LA, you can go to the fashion district where they have similar styles for purchase. then the kiddos can wear them for easter or christmas too. i was able to purchase simple white ones with light tulle for $15.99. and i’ll use the same material from the bridesmaid dresses as a sash. not bad eh?

A couple Atlanta knotties have rented from this company. As far as I know, none of them have had any problems. One of them (I can’t remember who at this moment) actually rented the first dress you posted!

That makes so much sense as kids outgrow stuff so quickly.

I received something in the mail from them and I am considering them for my sons tuxes. I should have gone this route for the flower girl dresses. Thanks!! :)

I did a trial rental with Gaga’s to see what they were all about after seeing them in Parent’s magazine, and I’m sold! The little tux we ordered (the one we’re now going to use for our ringbearers and junior ushers) came beautifully wrapped and was in perfect condition, just like new. I didn’t order any of the dresses, but I think the pretty a-line dresses they have on the site are what we’re going to do for all the girls. I love it because I can dictate all the outfits, pay for it for everyone, and it’s still less than one flowergirl dress from David’s.
